LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – After a spectacular end to the workweek, we are in for even warmer weather heading into the weekend. Unfortunately, the windy conditions that we saw earlier this week are set to return as well.
Now those winds will be gusting out of the south and the bad news is that they will bringing wildfire smoke from Kansas. As a result, an air quality alert is in effect for the majority of the weekend. Those who are sensitive to changes in air quality should limit their time outdoors.
The winds themselves will be gusting between 35 and maybe even 45 mph.
Temperature wise, we’ll climb into the low to upper 80s on Saturday.
On Sunday, as our winds shift out of the north, there will be a considerable spread with low to mid 60s to the northwest and low to mid 80s to the southeast.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are on the way this weekend with small chances for a few sprinkles/showers and even an isolated storm or two…
