Crete Police Department identifies three individuals killed in house fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Crete Police Department identified the three individuals who were killed in a house fire on Wednesday night.

Crete Police Chief Gary Young identified the victims as 74-year-old Dolores Aughe, 73-year-old Samuel Aughe and 5-year-old boy Samuel Hernandez.

A woman in her late 20s was able to escape the blaze on her own, but remains at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln with an unknown condition, according to Young.

Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Crete Volunteer Fire Department was sent to a home near 16th Street and Oak Avenue for a porch fire…
