Thursday Forecast: The month of May begins seasonable with a chance of rain

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible Thursday. The chance of rain will increase a bit for Friday. At this time, the weekend looks to be mild and dry.

Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy and a bit breezy. Winds should be north-northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. There is a 20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms through the day, but the afternoon and early evening may ultimately be the best opportunity to see the rain. Widespread severe thunderstorms are not expected, but a few isolated strong to severe storms can’t be ruled out. Areas of fog are possible early Thursday morning so be aware of potential reduced visibility for the morning commute. Low temperatures will be in the upper 30s to mid 50s with high temperatures around 60 to 70.
