The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Symphony Orchestra will perform “Daybreak!” on Saturday, May 3, marking the first public large-ensemble performance in the newly renovated Kimball Recital Hall.
The $15 million renovation will be on full display as Nebraska’s oldest orchestra presents a program of classic and contemporary works exploring themes of dawn and the passage of a day. The free, public concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Funded in part by Legislative Bill 384, the updates made Kimball Recital Hall fully ADA-compliant, adding ramps, expanded restrooms and a spacious area in the auditorium for wheelchair users, according to Tyler White, professor of conducting and composition and director of orchestras at UNL…
