Nebraska hopes to boost local brewing industry with grant funded projects

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – This week is American Craft Beer Week, and it comes at a time when Nebraska is trying to boost its local brewing industry.

The Nebraska Craft Brewery Board announced in April that it will be giving out about $120,000 in grants for projects from growers, sellers or any organization looking to help grow craft breweries.

The board defines craft breweries as any small, independently owned brewery that produces less than 20,000 barrels of beer a year. Currently there’s 53 of them in Nebraska…
