LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Back in October, 10/11 shared a story of how one Lincoln mother was honoring her son by opening a food truck. On Tuesday, she hit a major milestone.
Marlina Bowdery’s son was killed in a shooting back in 2020, and ever since, she’s been battling with that grief. She closed her restaurant and then launched a food truck, M&J’s Southern Style Food.
Now Bowdery’s sauces and seasonings are on the shelves at Hy-Vee. She tried to do this back in 2021, but citing her mental health, she couldn’t keep up with the orders. She said the journey to get to this point has been nothing short of a rollercoaster…
