LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Police arrested a woman on Tuesday for her alleged involvement in the arson that destroyed several vehicles in south Lincoln on May 15.
Christal Curry, 31, was taken to the Lancaster County Jail for third-degree arson resulting in $1,500 or more in damage, criminal mischief resulting in $5,000 or more in damage and false reporting.
On May 15, officers were dispatched around 11:15 a.m. to a car fire outside the College of Hair Design near South 91st Street and Andermatt Drive. While responding to that incident, another officer was sent to a separate call involving a stolen vehicle from the Lodge Apartments near South 48th Street and Briarpark Drive.
According to LPD, Curry said her stolen vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, had been rented in another state earlier in the month and was due to be returned that day. She told police she discovered it missing that morning and that it had recently been involved in a crash…
