Three southeast Nebraska SRA’s to allow fireworks on July 4

LINCOLN, Neb. – While some areas of the state have put a ban or limit on fireworks for the Fourth of July, three State Recreation Areas in southeast Nebraska will allow fireworks for the upcoming holiday.

According to Nebraska Game and Parks, the beach at Wagon Train SRA (Lancaster County), Lieber’s Point at Branched Oak Lake SRA (Raymond, NE.) and the beach and Area 4 lake view campground at Pawnee SRA (Lincoln) will allow fireworks on the Fourth of July only.

Signs at recreation areas will point the way to designated fireworks sites and their boundaries will be clearly marked. Use of fireworks elsewhere in state areas or at other times is prohibited…
