Lincoln man charged after allegedly hitting store clerk with car

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man is facing a second-degree assault charge after police say he hit a store clerk with his car on June 1.

Officers were called to the Super C near 27th and Superior streets around 9:40 p.m. for a reported disturbance. The caller said someone was trying to run over a store clerk in the parking lot.

When police arrived, they spoke with a witness whose vehicle had been damaged during the incident. The witness said he had just arrived at Super C when he saw several people running out of the store. Fearing a robbery, he stayed in his car…
