LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – It’s one of the few times of the year when some families will spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, on fireworks.
While the light show is fun to put on and watch, it’s also dangerous, causing thousands of injuries each year.
In 2024, there were 11 fireworks-related deaths and nearly 15,000 injuries. That number is triple the number of people hurt the year before…
