Lancaster County judge to retire after 30 years behind the gavel

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lancaster County Court Judge Laurie J. Yardley, of the Third Judicial District, has announced her retirement, effective Aug. 1.

In her notice to the Governor, Yardley wrote:

“It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Lancaster County as a judge for the past thirty years. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the administration of justice in the community.”
