LINCOLN, Neb. — Guadalupe Ramirez, 40, of North Platte, Neb., was sentenced to 324 months in federal prison for his role in a multi-state methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy. United States District Court Judge Susan M. Bazis handed down the sentence on July 3, 2025, in Lincoln, Neb. Ramirez, known as “Shrek,” will also serve a 10-year term of supervised release following his imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system.
The investigation, which began in 2021, was conducted by special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and task force officers with the Cooperative Organization for Drug Enforcement (CODE). Ramirez emerged as a key figure in the conspiracy, which involved trafficking methamphetamine into Nebraska through mailings from California and Mexico. The court found that between 15 and 45 kilograms of methamphetamine were distributed throughout Nebraska, reaching as far east as Omaha.
Judge Bazis remarked during sentencing that Ramirez was “the second in command” of the operation, stating, “a lot of drugs moved through Nebraska because of you.”…
