Today in History – July 20: Man walks on the moon

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – On this day 56 years ago, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the first humans to set foot on the moon.

One year later, the Nixon administration made sure every state was gifted some artifacts from that historic landing — but Nebraska’s moon rocks went missing soon after they were given.
