LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Hot and humid conditions expected on Wednesday ahead of a cold front…with that front producing thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night across parts of the state.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night…but most areas are expected to remain precipitation-free. The rain chance in Lincoln is just 20% for Tuesday night. As the aforementioned front slides into western Nebraska on Wednesday, expect a wide range in temperatures…with cooler readings behind the front…while hot and humid conditions reside ahead of the boundary. By afternoon, parts of northern and western Nebraska will be looking at thunderstorm development…some potentially severe. As that front moves east the thunderstorm threat will move east as well…with an isolated severe weather threat later Wednesday night and into early Thursday. Behind the front temperatures are expected to cool a bit for Thursday and Friday, but remain quite humid……
