Lancaster County Attorney seeking to extradite Wisconsin murder suspect

LINCOLN — A Wisconsin murder suspect who was arrested in Nebraska last week will be staying in the Lancaster Jail a bit longer. 23-year-old Gavin Thompson was apprehended after a a pursuit and crash on I-80 near Pleasant Dale.

After running from the scene, investigators found the body of 67-year-old Dorinda Segebrecht of Dodgeville, Wisconsin in the backseat of her vehicle. He was charged with first degree intentional homicide, armed burglary, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and hiding a corpse.

“The seriousness of their charges demands that Wisconsin be allowed to proceed with their prosecution as soon as possible,” says Lancaster County Attorney Pat Condon. He says local charges will be dismissed after Thompson’s return to Wisconsin…
