A 34-year-old man is facing a charges after members of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force saw a Jeep Compass near 10th and Charleston Streets around 5:15 Thursday afternoon. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says according to a July 23 police report the vehicle was a rental car that had not been returned by its due date.
“Investigators followed the vehicle to the parking lot of a bar in the area of N. 1st Street and Cornhusker Highway,” Thomas says. Officers contacted 34-year-old Hector Nunez and arrested him inside the bar. Thomas says Nunez had almost $500 in cash with him.
“Inside the vehicle, officers located a total of 92 blue M30 fentanyl pills, more than 44g of marijuana and drug paraphernalia,” Thomas says. Nunez was taken to the Lancaster County Jail and booked on drug charges and for unauthorized use of a vehicle…
