University of Nebraska-Lincoln begins demolishing part of old Westbrook Music Hall

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has begun demolishing part of the old Westbrook Music Hall. Construction crews could be seen working outside of the building near 11th and R streets on Friday.

The new Westbrook Music Building, located near 10th and Q streets, is replacing the original building, which was opened in 1967.

The 103,000-square-feet, state-of-the-art facility officially opened last May and will host classes for the first time this fall. The building, home to the Glenn Korff School of Music, will provide new state-of-the-art facilities for current and future students…
