The smoke that has been around for the last couple of days will try to stick around through Saturday. The “Near Surface” smoke will start to let up a little, but will still be an issue.
The smoke aloft will also start to push east, but there will be enough of it around during the day that we’ll see a haze in the sky most of the day.
Because of the lingering smoke from Canada, there is an Air Quality Alert in place through Saturday afternoon. Those susceptible to lower air quality will want to limit their time outdoors.
