UNL seeks to slash $27.5 million from budget

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln says it will cut $27.5 million from its budget by the end of the year.

In a letter on Monday, Chancellor Rodney Bennett said UNL’s revenue has not kept up with its expenses.

Bennett blamed “downward trends” in state funding and tuition, along with “historically high inflation” of health care costs…
