Lincoln Police are looking for suspects involved in a crime spree that began around 6:00 a.m. Monday with a report of a suspicious vehicle at 500 West ‘O’ Street. “It was determined the white 2021 Dodge Charger had been stolen from A&R Auto Sales at 500 Westgate sometime after midnight,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
She says when officers checked that business, they discovered it had been burglarized. “Surveillance video showed two males break out the glass to the south entry door and take multiple vehicles from the business,” Thomas says. “They also hit multiple vehicles while leaving the lot, damaging them.”
The total loss of seven stolen vehicles was estimated at nearly $44,000 and the damage to three vehicles was estimated at more than $6,000. Thomas says four of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered, two after they were involved in crashes…
