Brother of man sentenced in Carly Schaaf’s murder takes plea deals

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man charged for allegedly hiding Carly Schaaf’s body took a plea deal on Monday.

Danyl Barraza, 20, has now been charged with accessory to manslaughter, instead of accessory to murder. That carries an upward sentence of three years in prison and a post-release supervision, or a $10,000 fine, or both.
