There is some relief from the extreme heat on the way. National Weather service Meteorologist Clint Aegerter tells KLIN News a cold front will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms to the area Friday night.
” A couple of them could be strong to severe, damaging winds would probably be the main threat, but any severe weather should be pretty sporadic if we do get any.” Aegerter says more importantly, we are about to say goodbye to the scorching heat that has been with us for several days.
“Tomorrow we might still stick around the upper 70’s and lower 80’s in the Omaha and Lincoln areas. Beyond that, it looks like we are firmly highs in the 70’s well into next week if not through the entire work week next week.”…
