Protecting motorcyclists amid recent deadly crashes in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – As distractions on the road keep increasing, the danger of even the smallest mistake remains the same, no matter how many wheels you have.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers that safe habits protect more than just yourself, especially after two crashes this past weekend.

LSO Captain John Vik said that nicer weather typically means more motorcycles driving around, but those on two wheels are at a far greater risk of a small mistake turning into a major crash, as it did twice this weekend…
