Parts of several counties in southeast Nebraska were under flood warnings Monday morning after several inches of rain fell.
The National Weather Service issued the warnings for parts of Lancaster, Saline, Saunders and Seward counties due to the risk of flooding of rivers, creeks and streams.
In Lancaster County, the flood risk came from a rapid rise in North Oak Creek near Valparaiso. The creek exceeded minor flood stage, leading to potential flooding concerns for Valparaiso, Raymond and northwest Lincoln.
