Wednesday marked a big day in the history of Lincoln Lutheran school as ground was broken on the 11,000 square foot Warrior Wellness Center and training facility near 56th and X Street. The new addition will offer an indoor turf, track lane, weight room, classrooms and offices.
The center will also provide programming for physical fitness, speed and weight training, mental health, and nutrition. It was designed in collaboration with Sorinex, the nation’s leading sports training and equipment company who also outfitted the University of Nebraska weight training facility.
“When building performance facilities for the most successful teams in the world, you get to see behind the curtain, and really drill into how teams continue to win,” says Bert Sorin, Sorinex President and Owner. “The key that I have seen is investment and commitment. Seeing the prioritization the staff at Lincoln Lutheran has put on world class development of their athlete’s strength and conditioning is not only rare, but inspirational. They have the right recipe.”
The Wellness Center will open for classes in early 2026 to all students whether they are looking for general fitness or training for athletics. It will feature 14 weight rack stations, high performance speed treadmills, and the best equipment in the industry…
