Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln ReStore beginning clean-up after fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Sunday fire at Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln’s ReStore was put out by Lincoln Fire and Rescue in just ten minutes. But in that 10 minutes, the blaze managed to cause $200,000 in damage.

According to LFR, the fire began in a dumpster behind the donation center before spreading to the building, that causing $25,000 in damage.

The remaining $175,000 in losses came from smoke damage to the many items inside the store, from couches to buckets of paint to many other donated household items…
