Family-run pumpkin patch builds fall traditions in Nebraska

EAGLE, Neb. (KOLN) – On a farm that has been in the Pearson family since 1947, pumpkins are the newest crop — and the goal is building family tradition.

Pearson’s Pumpkin Place, located just outside Eagle, opened in 2022 and has grown in popularity each year. Owner Alex Pearson offers a long list of activities and events on the same land that was worked by three generations before him.

“This property has been in my family since 1947,” Pearson said. “I’ve taken it under my control and now we’re turning it into a pumpkin patch. I don’t know if Mom and Dad like that idea, but that’s what we’re rolling with.”…
