Hot Seat update
After a 0-3 start, DeShaun Foster will no longer be leading UCLA. The Bruins have been outscored 43-108 and lost 35-10 to UNLV, giving up 21 unanswered in the fourth. Tim Skipper will be the interim head coach, the same role he served last year for Fresno State.
Outside the somewhat shocking early-season firing of Foster, most of the Big Ten had one more week to get some easier wins before heading into conference play. Let’s take a look at how the Big Ten performed:
Start of conference play
Four Big Ten teams played each other this week, with No. 4 Oregon traveling to Northwestern and USC going to Purdue.
Oregon dismantled the Wildcats 34-14, looking like a buzzsaw through its first three games of the season. Dante Moore continues to shine as he threw for 178 yards and a touchdown, and running back Dierre Hill Jr. had 94 yards on five carries and a touchdown as well…
