After Chancellor Rodney Bennett proposed the elimination of six academic programs including Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, students and professors said they felt outraged and disappointed at the proposed elimination.
Cutting the six programs would save an estimated $7.7 million by eliminating 77 faculty members, 71 of which are tenure or tenure track.
