Missing pregnant woman rescued, man in custody following daylong search in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – A 42-year-old pregnant woman was rescued and her ex-boyfriend taken into custody following a SWAT incident overnight, Lincoln Police reported on Friday.

Christopher Collins, 36, was arrested late Thursday. LPD reported on social media at 11:15 p.m. that he was custody. Authorities reportedly evacuated neighboring homes after entering the residence and detecting a strong natural gas odor.

Collins is facing several charges, including domestic assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and violating a protection order.
