Nonprofit works to build beds for Lincoln kids

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Nearly 9,000 kids in Lincoln do not have their own bed to sleep on, and one nonprofit is working to fix that.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is building 140 beds across two days, helping them are volunteers from St. Marks Church who needed to raise $35,000 to build the 140 beds. Instead, they raised $104,000 and will end up building 400.
