Lincoln homeowner finds grenade while unpacking boxes bought from storage unit auction

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln homeowner called authorities Friday afternoon after he found a potentially live grenade in his home.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue were in the area near 70th and Cuming streets around noon.

Bill McFarlend, who was having a garage sale at the time, said he was unpacking items he bought from a storage unit auction in his home and found a hand grenade with a pin in it…
