A Lincoln mental health therapist and advocate recently served as executive producer of a documentary that seeks to destigmatize mental illness. Jeromie Luginbill tells KLIN News “Hidden Battles: Destigmatizing Mental Illness” offers an unflinching and deeply human exploration into the lives of four individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, shedding light on the challenges they face and the emotional toll on their loved ones
“We might have pre-conceived ideas of what mental illness looks like, and it can look very tragic. However, we also know that people get better and I really want that story known.” Through candid storytelling, Luginbill says Hidden Battles challenges societal stigma and encourages empathy, understanding, and respect for those living with mental health conditions.
