Person Wanted in Wisconsin Homicide Investigation Arrested on I-80 in Nebraska

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — A man wanted in connection with a Milwaukee homicide investigation was taken into custody by the Nebraska State Patrol Wednesday morning after a coordinated traffic stop along Interstate 80 near Waverly, authorities confirmed.

Troopers Spot Vehicle Between Omaha and Lincoln

According to State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas, investigators received information that a person of interest in the Wisconsin homicide case was traveling west through Nebraska.

“A trooper spotted the vehicle as it was westbound between Omaha and Lincoln,” Thomas said. Additional units quickly joined in, leading to a felony traffic stop around 7:45 a.m. near Waverly.

Troopers ordered the suspect out of the vehicle and took him into custody without incident. The man, believed to be in his 30s, remains in custody as he awaits extradition back to Milwaukee to face charges related to the ongoing homicide case.

Highway Temporarily Shut Down During Arrest
