ADAMS, Neb. – After a dozen years in the East Central Nebraska Conference, Freeman Public Schools is looking to make a change.
In a letter from Superintendent Andrew Havelka to the conference board of directors, a request was made for Freeman to join the Southern Nebraska Conference. The letter cites a decrease in conference schools in recent years and financial instability in the ECNC, while also noting Freeman’s growth, making it a better fit for the SNC.
