Man slips into Lincoln auto shop, pilfers vehicles to sell parts, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly breaking into a Lincoln auto repair shop and pilfering over $15,000 worth of vehicle parts to sell.

On Oct. 27, Lincoln Police were dispatched to Casey’s Auto, located near north 56th Street and Fletcher Avenue, to take a theft report from the store owner who said two trucks had been damaged and had the wheels and tires taken overnight.

According to court documents, a hole had been cut in the fence that connects to the southeast corner of the building and would allow for someone to access the open unsecured lot of Casey’s Auto, which does not have video surveillance…
