Today in History – Nov. 15: Lincoln Sorosis Club celebrates 50th anniversary

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) – On this day in 1939, Lincoln’s “Sorosis Club” gathered at the Cornhusker Hotel for its 50th anniversary meeting.

The Nebraska Historical Society says the Lincoln chapter of the Women’s Literacy Society was organized in 1889.
