REVIEW: Merry cheer with Christmas lights at the zoo

Laughter and chatter sounds come from every direction. A train toots its horn as it drives by, full of waving smiles. Lights of all colors shine through the area as the smell of a crackling fire brings comfort to guests.

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo hosted a preview of Zoo Lights Powered by Lincoln Electric System on Nov. 15 to kick off the holiday season. This event transforms the zoo into one of the Midwest’s largest light displays. There are multiple light shows paired with holiday music, hanging vine lights, light tunnels, 30 lit animal silhouettes, a holiday train ride, s’mores stations and more.

The preview of the Zoo Lights allowed customers to see the lights before the official opening. A preview ticket came with a free train ride, hot cocoa or cider, commemorative 3D glasses and allowed customers to see the Christmas tree lit for the first time this season…
