Lincoln & Omaha Regions Under Winter Weather Advisory: 2–6 Inches of Snow Possible

Lincoln, NE – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa from 3 p.m. Friday through midnight Saturday night, as a storm system brings a mix of snow, freezing rain, and gusty winds to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley, precipitation will begin as a light mix of snow and freezing rain Friday evening, before changing to all snow overnight and continuing through Saturday. Total snow accumulations are expected to reach 2 to 6 inches across most areas, with isolated totals near 7 inches possible in Knox and Pierce Counties.
