On December 5, 2025, the Sheldon Museum of Art and University Dining Services will offer free soup and bread to the public. This is part of the museum’s First Friday celebration. The event is inspired by Ken Friedman’s 1967 work, ‘Twenty Gallons: Cook soup for several hundred people.’ Soup will be served at the museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. University meal plan holders can also get soup at select dining centers.
Attendees can enter a drawing to win a framed event score from the exhibition ‘Ken Friedman: 92 Events.’ The exhibition is open at Sheldon until January 4, 2026.
