LPS Offering Information Nights for Eighth Graders Heading Off to High School Next School Year

LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 2)–The first meetings for eighth grade students with administrators at the eight LPS high schools is Tuesday at 6:30pm over at Lincoln Northwest, as they begin the process to start high school next year.

The meetings over the next couple of weeks are to help provide information for students to consider if they choose to attend a high school outside their home address area. Lincoln Public Schools moved their deadline date up by 26 days than in previous years. LPS says this will allow the district more time to plan for the upcoming school year. Students are automatically assigned to a high school based on their home address, but can opt into any of the eight high schools before their freshman year…
