Task Force Members Take Man into Custody After Three-Hour Standoff in Northbottoms Area

LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 8)–After about three hours, what appeared to be a standoff between the Metro Fugitive Task Force and a man wanted on seven warrants ended peacefully around 10am Monday east of 10th and New Hampshire, just north of Memorial Stadium.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says task force members were looking for 28-year-old Gianni Phillips, who was taken into custody and arrested on seven warrants, two of which were felonies. They include operating motor vehicle and avoid arrest – Class IV felony, along with misdemeanors for domestic assault, resisting arrest, and attempt of driving during revocation, which was an attempted Class IV felony…
