This Day in History – December 10: Farm Strike causes massive traffic jam in Lincoln

December 10, 1977 – One of the worst traffic jams in the city of Lincoln happened on Dec. 10, 1977, when over 1,000 tractors and farm trucks journeyed to the capital to announce a farm strike.

It was reported that a line of vehicles along I-80 waiting to enter the city stretched for about 13 miles.
