Man suffers self-inflicted stab wound after strangling neighbor, stealing wallet, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The man who was hospitalized last week after stabbing himself in the neck has since been arrested.

Lincoln Police were called to an apartment building in the area of South 26th and M streets shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 for a reported disturbance involving two men.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to one of the men who said that he was sleeping inside his apartment when he woke up to a man standing over him. The victim stated that the man began to strangle him, which led to a physical fight between the two…
