Construction finishes on Lincoln’s first permanent supportive housing facility

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln’s new permanent supportive housing facility has finished construction, and on Wednesday the public was welcomed inside for an open house.

The building at 8th and J streets, called The Jay, will house up to 24 people with the goal of lowering the number of Lincoln’s chronically homeless.

The city broke ground on the building last year, later partnering with CenterPointe to manage the property…
