Man pleads not guilty after SWAT rescues beaten Lincoln woman from gas-filled home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The man accused of abducting and severely assaulting his ex-girlfriend in September has pleaded not guilty.

Christopher Collins, 36, waived his right to appear at his arraignment Wednesday, instead entering a not guilty plea to all charges. His charges include kidnapping, terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, first-degree assault and violation of a domestic abuse protection order.

According to an affidavit, the investigation began on Aug. 21 when Lincoln Police took a report of a domestic assault that allegedly took place inside a home near 95th and Eagleton Lane.
