Hell yes. This is what I want out of an announcer. No hiding the breath, no hiding the feeling. If you’re going to pass out, you better pass out on air. There’s no better time to do it. You just beat Illinois, you remain America’s hottest team. It was an absurd game, with this being the dagger. I needed this announcer to go completely lost on air and just faint. Have the analyst call 911 or a medic because you can’t believe Nebraska won again.
I’ve said it before, but I don’t want guys who are boring or playing the middle during a call. Give me a homer from each side, put them on the call and see what happens. That’s sports! Don’t get me wrong, we’re in a golden age of announcers, but I want people who live and die with teams. I want people who are willing to pass out because of a three.
