HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Good evening! Temperatures remained cold today in the the teens and 20’s, with some 30’s to the west. Wind chills also remained low with widespread wind chills in the single digits. Breezy winds will stick around but we warm up to begin the work week.
Tonight/Tomorrow: Temperatures tonight will stay in the 20’s for much of the area, some upper teens will be possible to the east. Winds stay breezy around 10 to 20 mph but will lighten up tomorrow morning. Skies stay clear tomorrow as temperatures warm into the 50’s. Upper 50’s likely to the west including North Platte. Low to mid 50’s likely across central Nebraska and the Tri-Cities, with cooler upper 40’s to the east for Lincoln and Omaha. Light winds around 3 to 8 mph will add to the beautiful day tomorrow.
Tuesday Through Sunday: Temperatures stay in the 50’s and 60’s both Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will stay light Tuesday with some passing clouds through the afternoon. Some light drizzle will be possible, but widespread precipitation is not likely. Winds pick up Wednesday with partly cloudy skies ahead of a cold front. The cold front moves through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Showers will be possible into Thursday morning as temperatures begin in the upper 30’s, but fall into the 20’s by Thursday afternoon. Winds will be strong Thursday around 25 to 35 mph, gusting to 45+ mph at times. This will a brief cooldown as temperatures return to the upper 40’s to low 50’s Friday. Temperatures stay mild Saturday before another cold front will bring precipitation chances Saturday night.
