A Lincoln man is behind bars following an incident just before 11:00 Tuesday morning near 17th and Cheyenne. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a woman told officers her ex was inside their home with a gun and was intoxicated.
“The victim said she was inside the property when he retrieved the gun, began waving it around, pointed it at her and made verbal threats,” Thomas says. The woman was able to leave the home unharmed and called 911.
“After officers arrived, it took several hours to make safe entry into the home,” Thomas says. “The SWAT Team was activated, executed a search warrant and ultimately took 47-year- old Daniel Brenneise of Lincoln into custody without incident.”…
