Right now, he’s coordinating Nebraska’s offense, but Dylan Raiola just bailed for the transfer portal. The Huskers need a quarterback fast. Mitch Sherman addressed the possibility on “Locked On Nebraska” on December 17. Holgorsen hasn’t shut the door on running his own program again.
“Dana has not definitively said one way or the other whether he wants to be a head coach again,” Sherman said. “And I think if the right opportunity came around, he would give it a lot of consideration.” Most carousel spots are taken. But firings happen in January, too. Nebraska has other fires to put out first.
TJ Lateef started the last three games. He might start the bowl against Utah if his hamstring holds up. That’s the depth chart right now.
